Supporting Our Troops And Praying For Their Safe Return

Integrity Without Compromise!

Wireless Solutions

For large warehouses or operations that span across a large site, ServiceMark offers NEC wireless solutions including multi-cell site solutions with repeaters. This allows much flexibility in those environments where wiring and traditional phone solutions are not practical or mobility is needed. Additionally, our systems are compatible with a wide-variety of wireless phones and headsets.

ServiceMark and NEC choose Plantronics to provide wireless headset needs.

Telephone Service Providers

A critical element to a communication solution involves coordination with your telephone carrier service . To whom do we hook up our equipment? Is it AT&T? Birch? NuVox? Everest? Time Warner? It could be any of these or others — there are many possibilities.

ServiceMark is an authorized agent for NuVox. While we are an agent for NuVox, we will always guide our customers to the best provider that suits them, educating them along the way. We currently have customers on AT&T, Birch, NuVox, Everest, and Time Warner. Through our customer’s eyes we have learned a great deal about application, pricing, and overall satisfaction of the various providers. Armed with this knowledge we can make informed and appropriate recommendations based on your business’s needs, rather than being motivated by commissions.

Cabling

ServiceMark can address and handle most kind of cabling needs.
CAT 3 - cabling has been for traditional voice; this is the cable that connects the phones to the phone systems.

CAT5 - cables traditionally involve computer and data networks, capable of 100 mb/s or the “de facto standard” for network speed.

CAT5e - cables are certified to a higher standard, capable of carrying faster network traffic than CAT 5, in upwards of 1000 mb/s, whereas CAT5 is only certified to 350 mb/s . CAT5e, was designed to support mainstream Gigabit Ethernet networking. Meanwhile, the pace of technological evolution continues.

CAT6 - Category 6 - has been standardized and some researches are even developing a Category 7 cable standard.

Here is a quick look at the ratings of each type of cabling:

CAT5 - is rated to 100M. This is the de facto standard “network speed” or megabit Ethernet.
CAT5e - is rated to 350M.
CAT6 - and CAT6e is rated to 550M or 1000M depending on your source. This is becoming commonplace in larger networks. “Gigabit Ethernet”. It is being made with 23 gauge conductor wire as opposed to the slightly smaller 24 gauge for CAT5e and also has a separator to handle cross talk better. This cable is becoming more commonplace in server rooms and other high-intensity bandwidth and data applications – it is not quite the “de facto” standard that CAT 5E has become, but it is gaining in popularity.
CAT7 - is supposedly rated to 700M or presumably 1000M
“PLENUM” is a type of cable that is run in the plenum spaces of buildings. In building construction, the plenum (pronounced PLEH-nuhm) is the space that is used for air circulation in heating and air conditioning systems, typically between the structural ceiling and the suspended ceiling or under a raised floor.

The plenum space is typically used to house the communication cables for the buildings computer and telephone network(s).

Plenum cable is coated with a fire-retardant coating (usually Teflon) so that in case of a fire it does not give off toxic gasses and smoke as it burns. Twisted-pair and coaxial versions of cable are made in plenum versions.

Fiber Optic Cabling - ServiceMark can do fiber optic cabling which involves laying fiber and pulsing light on and off along the fiber path. This is becoming more commonplace within the cable and telephone companies, slowly making its way to the end consumers.

We can handle a variety of cabling options, ranging from all inside wiring to external burials between buildings.
